I appreciated his point of view, but I would’ve much rather have seen just Tiana and Facilier; it was interesting to see them fighting against the same thing, but in different ways.

In terms of characters, Tiana was so spot on it really felt like I was reading about the same woman from the movie. With the help of Shang's great lion guardian ShiShi, Mulan must traverse Diyu to find Shang's spirit, face harrowing obstacles, and leave by sunrise – or become King Yama's prisoner forever. Only downside is the childish romance, there was so much overthinking and unnecessary blockades in their relationship that it became a bit silly after a while.
